KAYA JIWAN
I am the captain.

It is easy to move through life and forget that you are the captain of your ship. We fall easily into an unconscious victim mentality, where the past, the other, life, or circumstances are held responsible for where we are.
But what happens when you take full accountability for one year? When you see yourself in a mirror for 365 days, without exception? Not as a diary. Not as a planner. Not for emotional purges or polished words. A navigation tool.
A Captain’s Log.
A year-long crossing through calm seas and storms, changing weather and uncertain waters. You cannot control the sea. You can only learn to read it, respond to it, and remain at the helm.
Across the year, the Captain explores the dynamics that shape how we live: identity, agency, authority, choice, responsibility, relationships, power, commitment, discernment, consistency, change, and autonomy.
The aim is not to arrive at a perfected version of yourself. It is to become increasingly aware of who is steering.
I Am the Captain of Your Ship is a practice in looking closely, choosing deliberately, and taking responsibility for the direction of your life.
Scary and amazing. Confronting and raw.
